Dr. Sanjay Nalachandran, a renowned Singapore vascular surgeon graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in the year 1997. After completion of this course, he began his basic surgical training in Ireland. This was the period in which he honed his surgical skills to a great extent. In the year 2000, he went on to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh & Ireland (MRCS, AFRCSI).

In the year 2001, Dr. Sanjay Nalachandran joined Tan Tock Seng Hospital also referred to as TTSH, which saw him receive advance training in the field of general and vascular surgery. This specialized program allowed him to strengthen his roots concerning surgical processes particularly related to the vascular system. In 2002, Dr. Nalachandran was awarded his MMed (Master of Medicine, General Surgery) from prestigious National University of Singapore.

In the year 2005, Dr. Sanjay Nalachandran was conferred as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Along with this, he also became Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (FAMS) in Singapore. The same year saw him being awarded with prestigious Singapore Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship that allowed one year advanced vascular surgery training program at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne in UK.

On his return from UK, Dr. Sanjay Nalachandran contributed to the General surgical department in TTSH as a consultant. His fluency in both written and spoken Mandarin and English allowed greater possibilities of management and treatment of common vascular surgical conditions in this region. Dr. Nalachandran also has expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery with knowledge to perform surgical operations of both traditional and endovascular type.

Dr. Sanjay Nalachandran has the necessary expertise regarding the latest procedures in angioplasty and stenting techniques for vascular surgery operations. He has developed expertise in laser techniques (EVLT) for treatment of varicose vein and spider vein diseases.
